Ion Exchanger NT – one system, many advantages
When do I need the Ion Exchanger NT?
You need an ion exchanger if the hardness, ammonium or manganese of your water is too high. Hard water leads to a calcification of your plants. Even with very high concentrations of manganese and ammonium, an ion exchanger is recommended. The pollutants affect the drinking behavior of your animals and can thus reduce the performance.

Why does REMON additionally recommend a REMOTECTOR 3000 NT?
If the water is completely treated in the ion exchanger, its degree of hardness drops to 0. The water becomes acidic, reactions with galvanized pipes or copper pipes can occur. REMON achieves the desired degree of hardness through a finely adjusted bypass system. Fresh, untreated water is added to the process water until the optimum degree of hardness is achieved. With the final filtering process in the REMOTECTOR 300 NT, the exact desired water quality is achieved.
What distinguishes the Ion exchanger NT?
In addition to the bypass system, there are many other innovations in the REMON ion exchanger. For example, the PLC control, which shortens the regeneration period to a few minutes. Or the new, dry salt bed, which reduces salt consumption by up to 50%. The water consumption or the number of regenerations can be easily read on the touch screen. You operate the water treatment system with a tap of your finger, optionally with remote maintenance with RCC REMON REMOTE CONTROL. Only a single pump is required for the REMON ion exchanger NT.
This is how the ion exchange procedure works
The REMON ion exchanger removes pollutants by exchanging their water-soluble ions for others. For example, calcium ions, which are important for water hardness, are exchanged for sodium ions. For this, the positively charged calcium ions are "trapped" in special resin spheres within the ion exchanger - to balance the charge of negatively charged ions. Positively charged sodium ions, which have hitherto provided for the electrical neutrality within the resin beads, are thereby displaced. In a similar way iron, manganese and many other undesirable substances can be removed.
Salt consumption
The salt consumption of this purification technology with the dry salt bed is primarily dependent on the raw quality of your mains or well water and your water consumption. Based on the raw values, Remon makes an accurate estimate of your daily salt usage. The salt is supplied in tablet form and is packed in 25 kg quantities.
